The Soniat House Hotel COVID-19 Update

We are happy to announce that the Soniat House Hotel is open!

The health and safety of our guests and employees is of the utmost importance. We will be following the guidelines regarding room service and the capacity in our courtyards and honor bar. We have enhanced our cleaning and safety practices to align with the highest standards and latest recommendation from healthcare authorities. We have revised our cancellation policy to 48 hours prior to arrival during the time for reservations made today through the end of 2020 and will re-assess our policy in January. We thank you for all of your support. Please read below to learn about the necessary precautions and extra steps we are taking to ensure the well-being of our guests and staff.

What are the overall health & wellness measures you are putting in place?

Throughout our property, we have enhanced our already rigorous cleaning practices and protocols. With increased frequency, diligence, and great attention to detail, our management and staff will be consistently cleaning the property. All rooms and suites will be vacated for 48 hours prior to the next guests being able to check into a room or suite.

Will you be conducting thermal scan temperature checks on guests?

Yes, upon arrival we will conduct a thermal scan temperature check. If the temperature is above 99.90, guests will be asked to leave the property immediately and seek medical attention.

What can I expect when I arrive?

Our staff will greet you at our front doors wearing gloves and masks and will remain socially distant. They will remove your luggage, then discard the gloves accordingly.

What about my luggage?

Our staff will escort you to your room after you check on with your luggage, or if you would prefer to handle your own luggage, you can choose to do so.

How do I check in?

Our front desk staff will greet you in our carriageway. Guests will not need to visit the front desk itself. However, should there be questions or a need to do so, the front desk will have a protective plexiglass shield for guest and employee protection.

How are the rooms being cleaned? What should I expect?

Upon your arrival, you will find a guest welcome packet containing a soft fabric mask made buy one of our local stores, gloves and a one-time usable wipe.

While we pride ourselves on the attention to cleanliness in our guest rooms, we will continue to use our sanitizing protocols with extra attention to high touch items: television remotes, door and furniture handles, faucet handles, toilet seats and handles, telephone, thermostat controls, light switches, luggage racks. Management and staff will disinfect surfaces repeatedly touched by employees or guests in all common access areas.

Each guest will be given the option to refuse housekeeping services, however towels and linens will be delivered upon request. All bedding is washed at a high temperature in accordance with CDC standards. All guest linens will be bagged in the room to eliminate excess contact while being transported to the laundry.

What are my options for housekeeping that makes me comfortable?

You have many options at check-in. You will be asked if you would like housekeeping service twice per day (once during the day and at turn-down), once per day, or not at all.

If you choose to refuse housekeeping services, however, fresh towels and linens will be delivered upon request.

How are you taking care of your employees?

Our number one priority is the well-being of our guests and our employees. Our employees will be administered a thermal scan temperature before every shift. If standards are not met, they will be advised to seek medical attention and sent home. Our employees will be wearing masks, when physically distancing themselves if not possible, and gloves.
